Emergency services arrived at the scene of King Square in Bidwill, in the north-west of the city, shortly after midday on Monday.
The driver, and the only person in the car, had left the road and crashed into a house.
He died at the scene, but no one in the home was injured.
'Officers attached to the Mount Druitt Police Area Command have a crime and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash,” New South Wales Police said in a statement.
