A murder investigation has been launched following the suspicious death of a man.
The man’s body was found at a property on Simla Street in Mitcham, in Melbourne’s east, about 5.45pm on Thursday.
A paramedic was reportedly assaulted by a 27-year-old woman inside the home when they arrived on the scene.
Police then arrested the woman from Ashwood in the city’s south-east.
She is under police guard in hospital and has yet to be interviewed.
The death of the man, who has yet to be identified, is being treated as suspicious.
The exact cause of death has yet to be determined.
