Man chases teen boy and fires shots in the air after objecting to relationship with his daughter
A Brazilian businessman has been arrested after threatening a teenager for dating his 15-year-old daughter.
Surveillance footage of the bizarre incident that took place on Tuesday showed the 39-year-old man arguing with the 16-year-old boy at the mobile phone shop where he works in the central city of Vianópolis.
He followed the teen around a display case and pushed him close as the scared boy ran away.
They walked along the sidewalk as the teen crossed to the other side and chased him for several blocks before a security camera showed him pulling out a gun and firing into the air.

An upset parent was seen chasing a 16-year-old boy in the central Brazilian city of Vianópolis on Tuesday and firing a shot into the air because he did not approve of the relationship between him and his 15-year-old daughter
The irate parent escaped and was eventually arrested 70 kilometers away in the town of Anapólis on Tuesday afternoon after ignoring an order from Goias military police to stop on a road.
He initially presented an air pistol during the search and lied that he had purchased it after the shooting incident.
Police continued to search the vehicle and discovered the .22 caliber revolver he had used while chasing the boy.
He was taken to a local police station in Goias, where investigators said he only wanted to scare the teenager after becoming aware of his conversations on his daughter’s mobile phone.
The teenage boy was not shot during the chase, police said.

The incident comes five years after a 38-year-old Cleber Pires shot the 19-year-old man in Goiânia because he did not want his 14-year-old daughter to go out with him.
At the time of his arrest, Pires told Goi military police that he had contacted his daughter’s boyfriend and asked him to come to his house for a “male conversation.”
Once at his home, Pires claims the teen pulled out a knife to attack him and responded by shooting him in the head.
‘When I turned my back, I thought he was talking to me like a man. He grabbed a knife from a nearby wood stove and came toward me,” Pires told investigators.
