Man charged with murder after two people were found dead inside a home in Brisbane

A man has been charged with murder after two people were found dead north of Brisbane.

Police arrived at a home on Kentville Street in Mitchelton just before 9 a.m. Thursday morning and found two people unconscious.

A 61-year-old man from Keperra and a 35-year-old woman from Mitchelton were pronounced dead at the scene.

A man from Greenslopes, who was at the scene and was reportedly known to the pair, was arrested by police.

Police allege the 41-year-old did not call emergency services.

The man has been charged with two counts of murder (reckless indifference), two counts of supplying dangerous drugs and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in court in Brisbane on Friday.
