An elderly man has been charged with murder after a woman died of alleged domestic violence in an exclusive beachside suburb in eastern Sydney.
Police were called to a house on Bronte Road in Bronte around 6pm on Thursday after a concern over the welfare report and found a 74-year-old woman outside with critical injuries.
The woman was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital, but could not be saved.
A 74-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Waverley Police Station, where he was charged with one murder charge.
He was denied bail and will appear in court in Waverley on Friday.

An elderly man with bloodstains on his shirt has been arrested and charged with murder after an alleged domestic violence incident at a home in Bronte on Thursday night
Footage from the scene shows the elderly man, with gray hair, beard and glasses, being led out of the house with his hands behind his back.
There are bloodstains on the sleeve of his t-shirt and there seems to be a bruise under his left eye.
NSW Police said the elderly man and woman are believed to be acquaintances.
Officers performed CPR on the woman until paramedics arrived and placed her in an ambulance

A crime scene has been identified at the house and is being investigated by specialized agents.
Photos taken by neighbors show several emergency services parked on the narrow street, which leads to Bronte Beach.
As many as three ambulances and several police cars were present at the Bronte Road home, with witnesses saying a police rescue bus was also present.
