A man has been charged in his alleged connection to a shooting that killed a Comanchero motorcyclist and injured his brother earlier this year.

Adam Ganaim, 22, was arrested at the Sydney Domestic Terminal at 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, seven months after the May 10 shooting.

Comanchero cyclist Omar Zahed was allegedly killed and his brother Tarek injured while they were at BodyFit Gym in Auburn, west of Sydney.

He will face Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

Tarek suffered 10 gunshot wounds to the head and body, and was reportedly shot through the eye.

He was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery before being released and seen with Comanchero gang president Allan Meehan at a restaurant in an Instagram post in August.

At the time, a source said that he had “completely lost sight in his right eye”, leaving him virtually blind, as he had reduced vision in his left eye.

“He had an incident years ago that means the vision in his left eye is only 20 to 30 percent,” the source said.

“So since he’s probably blind in his right eye now, he’ll be almost completely unable to see.”

Less than a week after the meeting, police dramatically arrested Tarek on a Sydney street.

He was later charged with the gang murder of 29-year-old Youssef Assoum in Bankstown in 2014.

Assoum was found with a gunshot wound to the thigh and several cuts to his head before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he died.

Tarek appeared briefly in the NSW Supreme Court in October before it closed to hear a request for a suppression order on some materials relating to Tarek’s bail application.

His application was deferred until later in the year before the application was denied after he filed an offer at Burwood Local Court this week.
