Man is charged after the gruesome discovery of a woman’s body in a suburban home – with hardened detectives describing the scene as ‘confrontational’

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman he knew in a home north of Brisbane.
Emergency services found the body of the 56-year-old woman in the house on Winter Road, Kallangur around 12:50 on Thursday.
Ambulance personnel were unable to resuscitate the woman.
‘The scene that the Queensland Police and Ambulance Service enter today was very confrontational’ That’s what Detective Inspector Ben Fadian of the Moreton precinct told reporters.
‘They are relatives, they have no relationship.
“There is no domestic violence warrant and the police had previously been to that address on other matters.”

A 36-year-old man was taken into custody late Thursday night and charged with murder.
Officers entered the premises after a citizen called 000 to report a disturbance at the address.
Detectives have spoken to that person, as well as neighbors and the woman’s family.
The property has been declared a crime scene.
The man, still in police custody, will appear before Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Friday.
