A Brazilian man shot his daughter and son-in-law and also wounded two other people before being shot dead.
Antônio Pereira, 45, broke into the home of his son-in-law’s parents on Monday to track down his daughter Poliana de Oliveira, 24, and take revenge after being convicted of alleged rape. said Galvao.
Civil police chief Roberto Fronza said the gunman should have been allowed to remain free while he appealed the conviction.
Pereira entered the home through a window at 5:30 a.m. and opened fire, striking his daughter and her husband, Ewerton de Oliveira, 30.

He also shot and wounded Ewerton de Oliveira’s brother and father.
However, one of them returned fire and fired at Pereira as they shielded Ewerton de Oliveira’s mother from injury.
“We cannot yet indicate who fired the shots at the perpetrator because we have not heard from the survivors,” Fronza said.

Authorities said Antônio Pereira entered the house through an open window before opening fire and shooting dead his daughter and son-in-law before shooting and wounding his son-in-law’s father and brother. Pereira was shot by one of the wounded victims and was then taken to a local medical facility, where he died
Both victims have been taken to a hospital, although authorities have not provided an update on their condition.
Pereira was rushed to a medical facility, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the military police, Pereira had a long criminal history with arrests for assault, theft, contempt and defamation.
