Man is arrested after a woman was found dead at a rural property in NSW Hunter Valley

A man has been arrested after a woman’s body was found in a home.

Police were called to a property on Coulson Road, in Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, just after 6pm on Friday following reports of welfare concerns.

The lifeless body of a woman in her 40s was found in the rural property.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, she could not be resuscitated.

A 47-year-old man was arrested at the house and taken to Cessnock police station.

Charges have yet to be filed and the investigation continues.
