Man, 24, arrested for recording women and underage girls in Illinois church bathroom after pastor found camera

A 24-year-old Atlanta man was arrested after a pastor found a hidden camera in the bathroom of the women’s church.

Ramon Ochoa Garcia allegedly recorded women and underage girls in the bathroom of the World Mission Society Church in Bloomingdale, Illinois, since August. ABC7 Chicago.

Garcia, who lives in a van, allegedly placed a small pen camera in a vent in the women’s bathroom to capture at least 24 victims, including two young girls, according to the newspaper.

He is said to have recorded 41 videos between August 1 and October 5 The Daily Herald.

He was arrested after the church’s pastor discovered the hidden camera and checked the micro SD card, The Herald reported.

He then confronted Garcia before reporting it to police on October 14, who determined that the content depicted 20 victims.

One of the videos discovered on the SD card was of a girl changing in the toilet, according to The Herald.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, Garcia was charged with unauthorized video recording of a person under the age of 18 and unauthorized video recording without consent.

He could face more charges as police continue their investigation.

A judge denied prosecutors’ request to detain Garcia ahead of trial, saying he posed a flight risk because he is homeless.
