Man, 21, wanted for ‘murder’ of Lancashire teenager, arrested in Greece more than a year after boy’s death
A man wanted in connection with the murder of a teenager in Ormskirk last year has been arrested in Greece, police have confirmed.
Matthew Daulby, from Liverpool, was killed in a double stabbing during a mass brawl on Railway Road.
The 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest and died in hospital on July 19 last year.
Over the past 16 months, Lancashire Constabulary has repeatedly appealed to the public to help locate 21-year-old Thomas Dures.
In March, Henry Houghton was previously jailed for life for Daulby’s murder.
Houghton, 19, will serve a term of at least 20 years.
Yesterday Lancashire Police confirmed that Thomas Dures had been arrested. Manchester Evening News reported. He then appeared in court on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the National Crime Agency confirmed it has been working with Lancashire Constabulary over the past 16 months in relation to the incident.

Matthew Daulby was described by his family as a ‘compassionate, loving and funny man’
Lancashire Constabulary has cordoned off Moor Street in Ormskirk following the double stabbing in the town
Matthew Daulby was described by his family as a ‘compassionate, loving and funny man’ who had ‘a zest for life’.
Speaking after Houghton’s sentencing, Mr Daulby’s father Gary said BBC News the loss of his son was ‘incomprehensible’.
He said: ‘The desire to see Matthew again is overwhelming. I don’t see him growing up, passing his driving test, getting his first house, getting married, having children. This has all been taken from Matthew and us as a family.
“We are tortured daily by what happened to Matthew that fateful night.
‘There is some small consolation in the fact that Henry Houghton has been in prison for a long time. We also received a life sentence for grief.”
