A 19-year-old boy was raped by two unknown men in a popular Brighton seaside resort.
The teenager reported that he was approached by two unknown men near Harry Ramsden’s fish and chip shop in Old Steine at around 3.30am on Saturday, December 21.
He was then taken to Steine Lane by the men who then raped him before managing to seek help from a passerby, who called the police.
A police spokesperson called the incident ‘very concerning’ as two people’s CCTV images have been released in connection with the incident.
Specially trained officers will support the teenager as the investigation progresses.
Detective Inspector Sean Booth said: ‘Steine Lane is an area of frequent walking both day and night as it is a popular through route linking East Street to Old Steine, and we know that a number of people were in the area around the time of the attack.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around that time, or anyone who recognizes the two men in these images, to come forward.
