Family of Greenacre man Mamdouh Noufl – allegedly murdered by his wife – break their silence… as his partner is accused of grim act with an electric saw
EXCLUSIVE
The grief-stricken family of a man allegedly murdered by his wife before being ‘butchered and dismembered’ with an electric saw have broken their silence to thank the community for all their ‘support and prayers’.
NSW Police will allege Nirmeen Noufl, 53, murdered her husband, Mamdouh Noufl, in their family home before dismembering his body and disposing of his remains in plastic bags at various residential and industrial sites in the southwest of Sydney.
The 62-year-old was first reported missing in July 2023, with police saying the small business owner had not been seen for two months after disappearing from their home in Juno Parade, in Greenacre, west of Sydney.
Police now allege that Noufl and his wife had an argument before she killed him on May 3 and threw his lifeless body in garbage bins across the city.
The mother-of-eight was arrested at a Bankstown hospital on Thursday afternoon and charged with murder.
Noufl was refused bail and was remanded in custody on Friday after appearing in court.
Noufl’s devastated family have been rocked by the allegations, having spent the past year calling on anyone with information about his disappearance to come forward.
Concerned friends feared the worst as the investigation into Noufl’s disappearance continued

One of his relatives particularly thanked the Shine The Light ‘Missing Persons’ Australia community Facebook page for their help in trying to locate Mr Noufl after he disappeared.
“This is my uncle… today is a very unfortunate time and news for our family,” Shaz Jay said on the site.
‘I would like to thank you for all the messages you have posted about his disappearance. All your support and prayers mean a lot.”
New details reveal that the timing of Noufl’s arrest was crucial as she was considered a flight risk and had a clear financial interest in moving to the Middle East.
It is alleged that she had previously traveled to Egypt to sell properties and was in the process of buying shares in the United Arab Emirates.
Chief Inspector Danny Doherty described the alleged murder as ‘brutal’, ‘macabre’ and ‘bizarre’.
‘The remains have not yet been located and police doubt they will ever be located due to the nature they were in [allegedly] removed,” Supt Doherty said.
Forensic examination of parts of the floor of the house in Greenacre is underway
An investigation into Mamdouh Noufl’s disappearance began in July 2023 when police were called to a house in Juno Parade, in Greenacre, in Sydney’s west.

Supt Doherty said police would allege Noufl had provided detectives with “several versions” of her husband’s whereabouts.
She reportedly told her children, friends and family that Noufl had flown to Egypt to visit family, but relatives could not locate or reach him.
The victim’s bank accounts were also used until July 2023, when family friends of the couple reported the 62-year-old missing, Supt Doherty said.
A friend told me 9News Mr. Noufl was a quiet man.
“He was a very, very calm person,” he said, “(he was) smiley, very focused on his work.”
Noufl’s friends raised the alarm three months after he was allegedly murdered, with his friend revealing his disappearance concerned him at the time.
“I was obviously very concerned,” he said
“I thought inside that something bad must happen to him.”
The couple moved from Egypt to Sydney more than 30 years ago and have lived in the house in Greenacre for the past five to 10 years.
Supt Doherty said the alleged victim had had close ties to his community in Sydney’s west and had owned a small business until his death (pictured, forensics examining part of the floor)

Supt Doherty said the couple’s eight adult children, aged between 20 and 30, were still “processing the information” and were believed to be in distress.
The cause and manner of the alleged victim’s death are still unknown, but police will allege that Noufl ‘intentionally’ killed her husband.
Supt Doherty said Mr Noufl had had close ties to his community in Sydney’s west and had owned a small business until his death.
Noufl is due to return to Burwood Local Court on December 11.
The investigation led by Strike Force Tannerie continues.
