A mom of two revealed the three budget-friendly ways to make your home look more expensive.
Chantel Mila, known as Mama Mila to her 1.6 million followers, revealed that details matter when it comes to making your home look and feel luxurious.
So her three tips focused on rugs, cords, and making your cups and plates shine.
To freshen up musty carpets, Chantel recommends putting essential oil on cotton balls and sprinkling it over your carpets before vacuuming.
She recommends leaving the cotton ball on the sheet for 15 minutes to allow the scent to permeate the house.
The process also helps deodorize your vacuum cleaner.

Next, Chantel advises hiding messy wires in your home by using stick hooks on the back of furniture or appliances.
“This one is a favorite and can be used on your bed, living room and even in your kitchen to keep cable clutter under control,” she explained in an Instagram video.
Finally, Chantel shared an easy tip to clean your dishwasher filter.
“Drizzle it with a bowl of white vinegar to get rid of musty smells,” she said.
“This process also helps clean your machine so your dishes stay shiny.”

One person asked if the cotton balls would clog the vacuum, but Chantel explained that she prevents this by tearing them into smaller pieces.
In a previous video, Chantel explained how to make your bed cozy and fluffy.
To make her bed cozy and fluffy, the mother-of-two from Melbourne starts by stripping the sheets and airing the mattress for an hour to deodorize it.
She then washes her bedding with half a cup of baking soda to make the sheets softer and brighter.
When the sheets are clean, dry and ready to go back to bed, Chantel sprays them with a light mist of water as she tucks them in to smooth out wrinkles without having to smooth them out.
She puts her pillows in the dryer with a tennis ball for five minutes to “instantly” fluff them up.
Finally, Chantel suggests putting a blanket under the duvet to make it extra high and make the bed look super soft.
She shared the tricks in one video posted on her popular social media channels and many of Chantel’s followers were impressed with the tricks, while some asked for additional advice.
One woman wondered if she could use dryer balls instead of tennis balls to fluff pillows.
‘Yes, you can, dear, because they are softer. Add three dryer balls to your pillows,’ Chantel replied.

Another viewer asked if baking soda would work on both colored and white sheets.
“It’s also great for coloring to make the sheets softer and brighter,” Chantel said back.
A third asked what the difference is between bicarb soda and baking soda and Mama Mila confirmed that it is the same.
“I put it straight into the drum with your usual detergent in the tub,” she added.
