Mama June is suing a former friend for $5,000 over an alleged business agreement gone wrong, and she’s doing it on live television.
The 43-year-old reality star – real name June Shannon – is set to appear as a plaintiff on the A&E courtroom series Court Night Live, where she will be suing content creator Adam Barta, who previously worked with her daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson.
Shannon is suing Barta over loss of earnings, as she claims he offered to pay her for consultations and career advice but then refused to pay up.
According to TMZ, the pair’s case will air on Wednesday evening, and viewers will be able to chime in live via text message.

The media personalities co-wrote the track Movin’ Up alongside both Alana and Lauryn Shannon, and the track was released in 2017.
Shannon and Barta, 42, went on to appear alongside Alana in the song’s official music video.
The reality television personality and the singer subsequently collaborated on several YouTube productions.
She has since claimed that the singer asked her for career advice that eventually turned into daily consultations.

The reality television personality will be seeking $5,000 from the YouTube personality.
Barta told TMZ that he and Shannon previously shared what was described as a ‘close relationship.’

The pair’s forthcoming case will be presided over by Judge Greg Mathis.

Retired Judge Vonda Evans will be offering analysis during the case, and Vinnie Politan is set to host the program.
According to Variety, Court Night Live’s cases will not play out in a real courtroom.
The media outlet pointed out that the civil cases featured on the program would be taken out of an actual court of law and resolved with the guidance of the show’s legal experts.
