Malibu mansion which featured in Lindsay Lohan’s The Canyons hits the market for $7 MILLION

With sleek, modern architecture, breathtaking views and an erotic thriller to its credit, this newly listed Malibu mansion is ready to seduce.

The four room property – located at 21940 Lamplighter Lane and retailing for $7,988,888 – starred in numerous commercials and once landed on the cover of Vogue magazine.

But it is best known as the main shooting location for the 2013 movie The Canyons, directed by Hollywood veteran Paul Schrader.

In the film, Lindsay Lohan plays Tara, an actress involved with a young film producer named Christian, played by real life porn star James Deen.

The highly anticipated production was hyped to perfection as a revival role for Lohan, whose career had been marred by a series of stints in rehab and prison.

Scott Foundas, chief film critic for Variety, previously spoke of Lindsay’s performance in the film, writing: “The big exception is Lohan, who gives one of those performances, like Marlon Brando’s in Last Tango in Paris, that comes across as an eerie amalgamation of drama and autobiography.

Lohan may not go as deep or as far as Brando, but with her puffy skin, gaudy earrings, and thick eye makeup, the former Disney teen princess has something of a lost girl that is very poignant.

“Whenever she’s on screen, she projects the feeling of barely holding on to that precarious slide area in the shadows of the Hollywood sign.”

While Lohan and Deen landed the lead roles, the Malibu mansion where their characters lived together also got its moment in the spotlight.

He told the Los Angeles Times: ‘It is a house without a bad corner.

“Once you’re in the house, you’re just tempted by those stairs. I’ve shot them four different ways and none are the same.’
