She appeared relaxed and cheerful as she was escorted through check-in and to the departure gate by an airport attendant.

She told the Courier Mail that she is ashamed to admit what she does for a living when she is in the countryside.
“The worst thing for us as actors in Australia is getting in the back of a taxi and asking a taxi driver ‘what are you doing? Because you think, “Oh, God…”‘ she said.
“You have to constantly fight for space or justify your right to actually be an artist in Australia.”
The 54-year-old added that overseas actors are more appreciated and she gains appreciation for Australia’s many talented stars with an outside perspective.

“Still, our culture is celebrated, sung and praised abroad, but internally we don’t often do that,” Cate told the publication.
“We often don’t know what we have here. And living and working abroad, I can see absolutely objectively what we have here.’
Cate has been to Sydney to promote her latest movie, The New Boy.
She was also recently spotted in Cannes promoting the drama, where she plays a nun with a rebellious streak.

A bona fide A-lister, the Tár star first rose to prominence with her performance as a star in the 1998 historical drama, Elizabeth.
Cate’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I was critically acclaimed – earning her her first-ever Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
While the Elizabeth star Galadriel would go on to star in all three Lord of the Rings movies, it wasn’t until 2005 that she won her first Academy Award.
She finally earned her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2005 film The Aviator.
The 54-year-old actress ironically won for playing a famous American actress in the movie The Aviator – Katharine Hepburn.
Her first Oscar win made Cate the only actress to ever win an Academy Award for playing another actress in a movie.
After her first Oscar, the Carol star has been nominated for an Academy Award eight times.
