Makasura Shrine ‘An Upright Device’ puzzle solution in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Makasura Shrine is located in the West Necluda region, just now south of Kakariko village. The exact coordinates are (1770, -1050, 0166).


Makasura Shrine puzzle and An Upright Device solution

2. In the next room you will find a grate attached to one Zonai device. Move it close to the edge and then hit the Zonai device to make the grid stand upright so you can climb it to sit on its platform, like so:

3. Jump off and use your glider to clear the gap to the next area.

4. Go straight ahead and you will see another L-shaped grid. Grab it and bring it to the left side wall of that area. Hit the Zonai device to raise it upright, then climb onto it and use your glider again to get into the fenced area.

5. There are three items in the locked area: Zonai devicea grate with a bowl attachedand a ball. At the end opposite the bowl, attach the Zonai device to the grid. You’ll want it Merge it in the same way as it has been used before in the shrine.

6. Take the ball and move it in the bowl. This is how it all looks together:

7. Hit the Zonai device to raise the grid, which will shoot the ball into the other room. The gate on the other side of the other room should open once the ball has reached the notch in the room.

8. But before you leave this room, move the grate to the back of the room, opposite the gate, where a treasury on a ledge. Open it at one Fairy Tonic.

9. Once that’s done, move the grid back to the gate wall. Climb up, jump and use your glider to leave the room and go back to the original room.

10. The opened room has another grate with a bowl attached. Take it to the main room. Attach it to the other grate, with the ledge, in the room, like so:

11. Make sure the Zonai device is on the end as close to the rim as possible before climbing into the bowl.

12. From the bowl use one arrow to activate the Zonai device. You’re launched into the air by your makeshift lever, then slide once you’re at the peak of your jump to reach the other side of the gap.

13. Examine the sigil on the other side of the room to complete the shrine and the Light of blessing.
