Trump’s campaign is trying to link Kamala Harris to the border crisis, three years of inflation and the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Her own campaign tries to link her to drug price control and economic growth.

Both efforts appear to be working, according to JL Partners/DailyMail.com, which found that a large portion of voters either blamed her or gave her credit for a series of policies implemented during her time as Joe Biden’s vice president.

In particular, 60 percent of likely voters said they were largely or somewhat responsible for the record number of border crossings at the southern border.

Trump’s campaign sees that as a winning theme.

The poll was conducted online among 1,000 likely voters and has a margin of error of three points

She is called the “border czar” and claims she is responsible for immigration policy.

Her job was to work with countries in Central America to address the root causes of the problem. She wanted to prevent people from moving north, for example by promoting economic development and creating jobs.

However, the poll shows that the idea that she had a greater role still exists.

About 55 percent also say they are responsible for high inflation.

And 49 percent believe she was largely or somewhat responsible for the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which created Biden’s first major crisis in the White House, with the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.

She later said she was the last person in the room when the decision was made.

On the other hand, 45 percent associate it with significant economic growth, the same percentage say it is not responsible for that.

But 53 percent do give her credit for her work in reducing drug prices.

James Johnson, co-founder of JL Partners, said the results showed where it could be vulnerable.

“Voters think Harris is more responsible for the bad things that happened under Biden than the good things,” he said.

“That suggests that the line of attack we heard in Trump’s closing statement at the debate in response to her plans, ‘why didn’t you do all this’ will be effective.

“Given that vice presidents don’t have much power and historically have little influence over anything, this is an achievement the Trump campaign will be happy with, especially in an election where voters want change from the status quo.”

Trump’s campaign has been in turmoil since Biden sensationally dropped out of the race, putting Harris at the top of the list.

She has had tremendous success with polling and fundraising.

This week she took the lead in the JL Partners/DailyMail.com poll, but by just one point.

The result is a race that is still far too exciting to predict.
