Major update in horrific Philadelphia case of seven-month-old baby shot in his stroller by foul-mouthed woman
Police have confirmed that a woman has been arrested after shooting a baby in his stroller on a Philadelphia sidewalk.
The woman – Dominique Billips – was arrested Friday night and charged with aggravated assault, violation of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA) and related offenses, Philadelphia police told DailyMail.com.
Billips, who was wearing a black sweatshirt, shot the seven-month-old baby shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday on Meridian Street in the Holmesburg neighborhood.
āF**k your baby, bitch,ā the woman screamed after the mother screamed āmy baby,ā according to CCTV footage.
āWe are very fortunate that the 7-month-old boy is in stable condition,ā said Philadelphia Police Chief Scott Small.
The woman who shot a 7-month-old baby has been arrested, police said Friday night. Her name is not being released until she is formally charged.
Surveillance footage shows the woman slowly walking toward the couple on the side and then pointing her gun just a few feet away from the mother.
The child’s father runs away after the first shot is fired. She fires a second shot at the father, before turning to the mother and firing another shot, then running away.

When the police arrived at the scene, neither parent was present. The child had been rushed to the hospital in Nazareth by a neighbor.
“When I found out the baby was seven months old and both parents said they had a search warrant. They got out of the car and I took the baby,” he said NBC Philadelphia.

Both parents fled after the shooting and a neighbor took the baby to the hospital for treatment. The baby’s father was later arrested by police and both parents were questioned
“I just felt like I had to protect this child. It was overwhelming. It was scary. This person came to me and didn’t care, didn’t have any remorse, and just shot and walked away like nothing happened.”
The baby was later transferred to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Neither parent was injured and it is believed they left the scene of the crime because a warrant had been issued for their arrest.
The family of three was not from the Holmesburg area and police do not know why they were there.
The baby’s father was later arrested by police and both parents were questioned.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
