Major update in Bryan Kohberger Idaho murders case – as new mugshot of suspect is revealed

A shocking update emerged Sunday morning in the murder trial of Bryan Kohberger.

The 29-year-old criminology professor accused of stabbing four University of Idaho students to death has been flown to a new location for his trial.

Kohberger was transported from Latah County, where the stabbings occurred, to Ada County, according to Fox News.

The move comes after the Idaho Supreme Court ordered the case to be moved to another location.

A new photo of Kohberger has been taken at the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect in the quadruple murder looked rugged in his last photo, with an unkempt beard and bloodshot eyes.

The murder suspect’s attorneys argued that his trial would be unfair if it were held in Latah County because of the community’s emotional ties to the case.

Ada County is located approximately 300 miles south of Latah County and where Boise, the capital of Idaho, is located.

A new judge, Steven Hippler, has been assigned to the case, but Latah prosecutors are expected to continue with it, he said. NBC News.

Kohberger was handcuffed and wearing an orange jumpsuit when he arrived in Boise on a small plane and was transferred to a black SUV.

Kohberger will stand trial in June 2025 for the September 2022 murders of four students

He is charged with the quadruple murder of students Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle on November 13, 2022.

Theories revealed in journalist Howard Blum’s book When the Night Comes Falling: A Requiem for the Idaho Student Murders suggest that Mogen was his only intended target.

The trial is scheduled to run from June 2 to August 29, 2025.
