But a major outbreak of cold sores prevented many of the other contestants from connecting to the reality show, a cast member claimed.

“Actually, there weren’t many connections between the cast, apart from Megan [Marx] and Konrad [Bien-Stephen]because they all had cold sores,” the source said.

“Everyone blew up on them during filming, so there was no connection. Oddly enough, Megan and Konrad didn’t get cold sores, but everyone else did,” they added.

“They didn’t spread, they must have just been from stress and strangely everyone got them except the people who went online.”

Cold sores are small blisters that develop around the mouth, while genital herpes causes painful blisters in the genital area. Both are caused by the herpes simplex virus.

Both conditions are transmitted through direct personal contact, usually kissing in the case of cold sores or sexual contact for genital herpes.

Megan and Konrad are the only two confirmed stars to have hooked up on the show.

What is a cold sore?

Cold sores are small blisters that develop around the mouth, while genital herpes causes painful blisters in the intimate area.

Both are caused by the herpes simplex virus.

Both conditions are transmitted through direct personal contact, usually kissing in the case of cold sores or sexual contact for genital herpes.

The virus tends to remain dormant until it is activated to cause an outbreak.

Triggers for cold sores include sunlight, fatigue, and women’s menstruation. The triggers for genital herpes are less clear.

How often they appear varies between people, some carry the virus but never have an outbreak.

Symptoms differ between conditions, as cold sores often begin with a tingling, burning, or itchy sensation followed by a small, fluid-filled sore.

In addition to blisters, genital herpes can also cause abnormal vaginal discharge, painful urination, and general flu-like symptoms.

Treatment also differs, with cold sores usually clearing up without intervention within 10 days. Antiviral creams can be used to speed healing.

If someone has genital herpes for the first time, antiviral tablets may be prescribed to prevent the virus from multiplying, but they do not eliminate the infection.

Treatment for recurrent genital herpes focuses on managing symptoms by keeping the affected area clean and reducing inflammation.

Leaked images of Megan and Konrad enjoying a spa game on the series have surfaced.

Konrad, who was previously in a relationship with fellow Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield, and Megan struck up a romance shortly after arriving in Buenos Aires to film The Challenge.

Two separate sources confirmed the couple’s date, with one revealing: ‘Oh my gosh! The drama is crazy. Konrad sleeps with Megan [Marx].

Konrad said that he was single and that his relationship with Abbie had ended because she broke up with him.

At the time the story broke, it was not public knowledge that Konrad had split from his 27-year-old girlfriend Abbie.

He later confirmed that they had left him several weeks before he flew to Argentina.

Before their breakup, Abbie revealed that she and Konrad only saw each other a few times a week, and that her “fetish” was letting him sleep with other women.
