Maisie Smith ‘lands first major film role in new British gangster movie’
Maisie Smith has reportedly landed her first major film role 18 months after leaving the BBC soap opera Eastenders.
The 21-year-old actress was set to be cast as a “protagonist in a gangster family” in the upcoming gangster movie Bermondsey Tales: Fall Of The Roman Empire.
According to The sun she’s starring alongside Alan Ford of Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Kidulthood’s Adam Deacon and shooting is scheduled for later this year.
A source told the publication, “It’s an exciting new venture for Maisie and she can’t wait to dip her toe into a big new project.”
She plays Chloe, a protagonist in a gangster family, and will star alongside Alan Ford from Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Kidulthood’s Adam Deacon.

Maisie starred in the BBC soap opera as Tiffany Baker from 2008 when she was just seven years old, before leaving last year and has since toured with Strictly and in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical.
On Saturday, Maisie turned the temperatures up when she shared a photo from Paris as she continued on holiday with beau Max George, 34, after their recent trip to Abu Dhabi.
The stunner took to her Instagram Stories and shared a selfie in a mirrored elevator, watching incredible in a mint green mini dress, which hugged her slim figure.
She paired it with a pair of gray lace stockings to show off her toned legs and wrapped in a beige trench coat.
Maisie wore a large necklace with a silver cross pendant and wore her flame-colored locks down and straight.
The next day, she took another selfie in the sun, posing with the Eiffel Tower behind her.
She wore a green jacket over a gray zip-up hoodie and put on sunglasses.

Captioning the flawless photo, she wrote, “Tourist [cheese emoji]’.
The trip comes after Maisie and Max broke their silence after fans were outraged over their “pregnancy” prank.
The Wanted star, 34, seemed to make light of the situation when he shared a photo of the couple sipping huge milkshakes.

She hid her belly behind a heart emoji, while Max looked down in shock, covering his mouth with his hand.
Captioning the photo, Maisie wrote, “We have some very exciting news…”
But in the next post, she revealed that the couple was just joking, writing, “Just had the best five-course meal of my life.”
Max shared the same teasing post on his Instagram Stories, adding the caption, “Look at that beautiful belly.”

And while the pair thought their post was hilarious, many of their fans disagreed as they flocked to Twitter to accuse them of being “disgusting” and “insensitive.”
One of them wrote: ‘Pregnancy jokes are not funny and never will be. You hurt a lot of people tonight, fans, with those thoughtless stories. People who have lost children. People who, for whatever reason, cannot get pregnant. Please do better.’
Others chimed in, “Max George and Maisie Smith are so callous about that,” and “Maisie Smith and Max George joking about being pregnant is disgusting.” just not something to joke about.’
A fourth wrote: ‘Not @maisie_smith_ and @MaxGeorge claiming she’s pregnant, such a joke! Kick for all of us who struggle with fertility.’
Another concluded: ‘Joking about false pregnancies is disgusting. Really got me thinking. I really like them more.’
