  • He was killed in a single-vehicle accident at Mailmans Track

A man with a ‘heart of gold’ has been identified who was tragically killed when a single vehicle overturned.

Joshua Shane Timm, aged 24, was killed in northwest Brisbane on Saturday night when his car crashed off an embankment on Mailmans Track near Bunya Road at about 7.25pm.

Family and friends gathered at the scene of the crash, 14 miles from Brisbane CBD, remembered that he had the ‘gift of the gab’.

His aunt, Alaina Beattie, said she was very close to her cousin who shared a birthday with her on Sept. 23.

“You always told me you were the best birthday present I ever got. Yes mate, you were,’ she said.

Mr Timm was killed when his car (pictured) crashed off an embankment on Mailman’s Track off Bunya Road at around 7.25pm.

“You had straw-colored hair, you were so blonde you were almost white,” she said The courier mail.

“You used to be a chubby little fellow with a cheeky grin and even then you had a gift for chatting.”

Mr. Timm, who is also survived by his mother, Robyn, father Michael and older brother Brandon, was much loved by all in the family, his aunt said.

Ms Beattie said one of her last memories of him was of listening to Abba come into the room and start dancing to the song Dancing Queen.

She had often joked that she would include him as a worm farmer on the TV show Farmer Wants a Woman so that he could meet many young, single women.

The aunt said that Mr. Timm never left the house without saying that he loved her, “but for some reason I never heard that yesterday because I was busy with something else.”

Ms Beattie said her cousin enjoyed playing X-Box, making art, sketching cars and wanted to become a mechanic and buy a house.

With help from her and his father, Mr. Timm was able to buy a four-wheel drive car.

Taking him for a driving lesson was an adventure she didn’t repeat, she said, though he did manage to get a driver’s license.

Friends have also reminded the 24-year-old on social media. One wrote, “RIP Joshy boi, I love you brother, I’m going to miss you so much, mate.”

“You don’t understand 23 years of friendship and memories that will never be the same, you’ve been taken away soon bud love you very much and I’ll see you when I see you huh.”

Mailman’s Track was closed on Bunya Road for several hours on Saturday evening following the crash.

The Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the nearby area are urged to come forward.
