Magaluf gang rape: Tourists ‘were invited to have “free sex” after three men deliberately plied Brit, 18, with drink, attacked her at hotel, then said to strangers in corridor to join in’
Three men accused of dousing a British teen before raping her in a Magaluf hotel allegedly called strangers into their rooms to enjoy “free sex,” it is alleged.
Eight men are accused of raping the 18-year-old British woman, according to Spanish police, who say the suspects did not know each other before the August 14 attack.
Guardia Civil investigators found that one of the men involved in the alleged rape knew the victim by sight and was staying at the same hotel.
He would have collaborated with two of the other suspects, who saw the woman drunk in a bar in the early hours and decided to buy her more drinks with the intention of eliminating her, the investigators believe.
The three allegedly started the abuse before inviting strangers into the hallway to follow them to their hotel room for “free sex,” according to local media.
The girl fled from a hotel room around 5 a.m. and told police she had woken up surrounded by young people with cell phones.
Six suspects – five French and one Swiss – are in prison in Palma, while two more suspects were arrested in France on Sunday and are awaiting extradition.

Two men were detained by police last week on suspicion of involvement in the incident in Magaluf
The spokesman said: ‘The Guardia Civil has closed the investigation following the alleged gang rape that took place in a hotel in Magaluf in the early hours of August 14.
Officers recognized the complexity of the investigation early on because the alleged aggressors were not part of the same group of friends but, encouraged by other participants, reportedly joined the group action sporadically, meaning there was no relationship whatsoever between them,’ he said.
A number of men have since been taken into police custody, with police in France making the latest arrests after Spanish police discovered the men had flown to Germany before crossing the border en route to the French city of Strasbourg.
The pair arrested on Sunday face extradition to Mallorca, as Civil Guard officers announced yesterday that their investigation to identify the men involved had now been completed.
The force confirmed in a statement that the first six suspects had been detained on the day of the alleged sexual assault and taken into pre-trial detention: ‘The investigation continued to identify the two young men whose arrest was pending.
“Once identified, officers discovered they had taken a flight to Baden-Baden in Germany so they could go to their homes in the Strasbourg area.
The Guardia Civil sought help from the French authorities through normal channels and issued European arrest warrants to prevent them from evading justice.
On Sunday, French police confirmed they had arrested one of them in the French town of Scherwiller, before subsequently confirming a second arrest at Basilea Mulhouse Freiburg Airport in France when that suspect attempted to board a flight to Turkey to avoid detention. ‘
Officers initially identified three suspects by calling the girl’s phone, which was allegedly stolen during the ordeal.

The man who answered and two of his friends were then tricked into going to the hotel reception without realizing that they would meet the police and the girl.
The alleged victim pointed to the men – named Anthony G, 20, Anthony A, 20, and Khalil A, 18 – and they were quickly arrested.
Two other French men, Thomas E, 23, and Romain C, 26, were reportedly later arrested at the hotel, along with Swiss man Lucas H, who is 20 years old.
The arrests took place after the victim reported the men to the police and “various surveillance devices” were placed at the hotel entrances.
All six men were held on suspicion of rape and taken into custody on Tuesday at a court hearing in the island capital of Palma.
It emerged over the weekend that the judge who denied bail for the six suspects and kept them in jail pending an ongoing criminal investigation concluded that the British teen had suffered “truly humiliating and humiliating treatment” and that he described claims by the men that consensual sex was “completely ridiculous.” ‘.
Mobile phone images of the alleged sex attack, which were confiscated by the police on the phones of the suspects and handed over to the investigating judge, would have shown that the men are ‘enjoying and laughing’.
On Sunday, the Spanish newspaper Ultima Hora published more details about the pre-trial judge’s ruling, to which he appeared to have been given full or partial access.
It said the suspects had “deliberately taken advantage” of their alleged victim’s drunkenness to persuade her to accompany them to a hotel room before “surrounding her” and “performing numerous sexual practices on her”, despite her “obvious lack of of awareness and willingness to accompany her’. to carry out these practices.’
The criminal investigation has now been transferred to the Court of Instruction Number Two of Palma, having been heard by a court of duty in its initial stages.
The British teenager, who made a statement to both the police and the investigating judge, would fly back to Britain with a friend who was on holiday with her.
Medical reports revealed that the girl had several bruises or grab marks on her right arm, indicating she was being held, and a small gash on her upper chest.
The police have already confirmed that they have found images on the suspects’ mobile phones showing the alleged multiple rape. This is now in the hands of the investigating judge and could form an ‘important part’ of the case.

He called the police after finding her around 5 a.m. Monday. He recalled how he had just come in for his morning shift and described the police response as very quick and efficient.
Investigators have already looked at the CCTV footage provided by the hotel and conducted an inspection of the room where the alleged gang rape took place.
The men being held in prison and on remand have not yet been charged with any crime, as is customary in Spain, where formal charges are not brought until shortly before trial.
At this stage, they are ‘investigators’ in an ongoing criminal investigation, meaning they are under formal investigation.
It is not known whether the British teenager has hired her own lawyer.
