MAGA unleashes fury at secret plan to block Trump from taking office
Donald Trump’s most fervent supporters are unleashing anger after a secret Democratic plan to prevent the newly elected president from coming to power came to light.
Two liberal legal experts shockingly argued this week that Democrats could block Trump from re-entering the White House.
They wrote in an op-ed for The Hill that the certification of Trump’s election could be legally rejected because of a little-used “oath-breaking insurrection” clause in the Constitution’s 14th Amendment.
The experts, Evan Davis and David Schulte, are both well-known liberal Ivy League scholars.
They say the evidence pointing to Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot is “overwhelming” and that Democrats should stop him from taking office by blocking the election process.
But it would take a two-thirds vote in the incoming Republican-controlled House and Senate to actually impeach Trump, which would be a near-impossible feat.
Trump family members and MAGA allies quickly showed up to denounce the Democrats’ “sick” plan.
Eric Trump wrote on X in response to the op-ed: “You people are sick.”
President-elect Elon Musk also agreed to the “crazy idea.”
‘It’s so strange that they say that. Legacy media is merely the propaganda arm of the radical left.”

Conservative commentator and former Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy also ripped into the op-ed.
He called the plot one of the “most serious abuses of power in history.”
“The former editors-in-chief of the Columbia Law Review and the Yale Law Journal want Congress to engage in what would be one of the most egregious abuses of power in the history of the republic by overturning democratic elections and blocking a significant abuse of power . elected president from office.”
Trump spokesman Steven Cheung accused Democrats of trying to steal the election.
‘Oh, look. Democrats want to steal the election and invalidate the will of the American people. Threat to democracy,” he wrote on X.
Conservative activist Robby Starbuck accused The Hill of aiding an “insurrection” against Trump.
“Looks like @thehill is supporting the uprising. Yes, try blocking the inauguration of a president who won the popular vote and the Electoral College. Let’s see how that goes for you.’
Former Democratic politician John Delaney even agreed that the plot is “nonsense” and said Democrats should reject it.
“Trump won in a fair democratic process,” he added.
If Democrats follow Davis and Schulte’s advice, they should disrupt the certification of the election on January 6, 2025.
That is extremely unlikely and not a single Democrat in Congressional leadership has indicated they will challenge the election results.
“Disqualification is based on rebellion against the Constitution and not against the government. The evidence that Donald Trump is involved in such an insurrection is overwhelming,” the experts wrote in the op-ed.
“The matter was decided in three separate forums, two of which were fully contested with the active participation of Trump’s counsel.”
Davis told Newsweek that Democrats will consider taking action to keep Trump out of office since they already voted to impeach on January 6.

Trump’s allies dismiss the plot as “egregious” and say it won’t happen
“We wrote the piece to stimulate attention to the Constitution, either by rejecting electoral votes or by providing a two-thirds vote to abolish disability,” he said.
‘The politics are intense, but the law is clear. “Should Trump be certified, unless the disability is alleviated, his administration will be operating under a cloud of illegality,” he continued.
The uncovered plot comes after Chuck Schumer revealed how he has been working in the shadows to fill the US federal courts with liberal judges in an effort to block Donald Trump’s policies.
Democrats will be largely kept out of power for the next two years, with special elections to replace Trump’s Cabinet nominees their only chance to win back the Senate, House of Representatives and the White House.
Schumer, who will remain the Senate minority leader, offered reason for optimism: the 235 federal judges Biden has appointed during his term, one more than Trump.
‘I don’t know exactly what he’s going to do. But I can tell you this: the judiciary will be one of our strongest — if not our strongest — barriers to what he does,” Schumer told Politico last night.
The New York Democrat says he and Biden devised a plan early in his term to put confirmation judges at the top of their agenda, sometimes even before they had adopted policy goals.

Chuck Schumer believes there will be judicial resistance to Donald Trump’s MAGA revolution after Joe Biden appoints one more federal judge to the court than his predecessor

“When we started, we knew it would be a very difficult job to do more than Trump had done, but we did it,” Schumer said.
While Biden will ultimately only send Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, Schumer says this president’s nominees now make up 25 percent of the federal judiciary.
It appears that will remain the case after the president angered Republicans earlier this week by vetoing bipartisan legislation that would have created 66 new federal judges.
As for Schumer, adding liberal justices will be a firewall against Trump retracting their policy achievements.
“We knew that getting more judges on the bench would help protect our legislative record,” Schumer said Politics.
‘The two went hand in hand. If you asked me which one is more important, I wouldn’t want to choose between my children.’
The senator says he is only following the strategy put forward by George W. Bush’s White House.
“When I became majority leader, I said, ‘This is something we need to work on, we need to focus on.’
