Bronte Schofield has come under fire from Married At First Sight fans for blindly defending her controversial husband Harrison Boon.
Some viewers have even accused the couple of ‘faking’ their relationship in order to stay in the experiment.
“We all know Bronte and Harrison definitely played the game to extend their 15 minutes,” one tweeted.
‘Harrison and Bronte can’t be real. The fact that they think Australia is believing any of their s**t. They are clowns,’ added another.
“Bronte agrees with Harrison’s disgusting gaslighting comments,” said a third.
Bronte Schofield and Harrison Boon (pictured together during filming in Sydney last year) come under fire from Married At First Sight viewers.
“We all know Bronte and Harrison definitely played the game to extend their 15 minutes,” one viewer tweeted.
“So obvious that Bronte and Harrison are only there for air time,” said one fan.
“I wouldn’t mind if it was entertaining, but his acting is so bad it makes everything seem scripted and fake.” Come on, producers, I know we’re all playing along, but you guys aren’t even trying.
Bronte was left in tears after her co-stars accused Harrison of “emotionally manipulating” her on Monday’s episode.
The 28-year-old brunette was caught up in tense scenes at the NSW Southern Highlands retreat, where Claire Nomarhas gave him a stern warning.
Claire accused Harrison of trying to “emotionally manipulate” his wife, prompting Bronte to respond by saying the other girlfriends were just jealous.
Harrison has never once tired of manipulating me. Harrison doesn’t control me,” Bronte said defiantly, as the other girlfriends spoke to her.
I am a grown woman and I have my own opinions. The reason why they are trying to turn my relationship on is because they are jealous,” she added.
Viewers have eviscerated the couple on social media and criticized Bronte for defending Harrison’s ‘gaslighting’ behaviour.
Bronte explained that the other girlfriends “just want what Harrison and I have”, before Melinda chimed in to back Claire up.
“We think you’re being a bit naive,” Melinda said.
‘As various girls see it, we just don’t want to see you go down that path. We know you’re strong,’ added Alyssa.
Bronte disagreed with Melinda calling her ‘naive’.
“That basically calls me dumb and that my relationship with Harrison isn’t real and that really hurts,” Bronte said, adding that she felt attacked and attacked.
‘I felt attacked. I’ve never had to sit there and have people pick my relationship when I’ve come this far,” she said.
Bronte then stormed off, saying that she needed a break.
‘My husband is frank and says what he feels. And they’re basically saying that I’ve lost myself,” Bronte said.
‘Why am I being absolutely, completely ridiculed for choosing him?’

The girls chose not to go after Bronte, but Claire made her feelings known.
‘Bronte, we care about you. We can see that you are being manipulated by this fucking idiot,” he said.
‘You have five of your friends sitting in front of you and telling you that something is wrong. Something is not right.’
Bronte later dropped the bombshell that he was in serious talks with Harrison about moving to Sydney.
