Married At First Sight’s Jules and Cam Reveal Regret Buying $3.65 Million Gold Coast Vacation Home: ‘We Bitten Off More Than We Can Chew’
Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant from Married At First Sight have become the golden couple of the dating franchise.
And with the many companies and seemingly endless endorsement deals they’ve scored since rising to fame in 2019, the couple has certainly cashed in on their romance.
Now Jules admits he overspended when it comes to building their real estate empire, having spent $3.65 million on a seven-bedroom home on the Gold Coast.
Shortly after they picked up the property, the Reserve Bank launched rate hikes, raising cash rates by 375 basis points in just one year.
“We were like, ‘Oh my god, we bit off more than we can chew to get this property,” Jules told the Daily Telegraph.

The house has an open plan living and dining area, games room, media room and a spectacular outdoor dining area that is perfect for entertaining.
“We were clearly stressing and thinking, ‘What have we done? We now have three mortgages,'” she added.
However, the couple claims they have now made peace with the purchase after seeing how much the value of their property has increased.
The master bedroom has water views as well as a walk-in closet and large ensuite with its own free standing bath.

Jules and Cam currently live on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in a coastal property they purchased for $1.8 million in 2020.
They also own a smaller investment property in Dee Why’s Grand Reef complex, which Cam bought in 2014 long before he met Jules.
The couple met on the sixth season of Married At First Sight in 2019.
They later legally married and welcomed their first child together, a son named Oliver, in 2020.
