MAFS star Martha Kalifatidis reveals personal health battle: ‘I’ve been on antibiotics seven times in 12 months’

Martha Kalifatidis has revealed she has been struggling with her health over the past 12 months.

The Married At First Sight star, 35, shared a photo on Instagram of the medication she is taking and revealed she currently has tonsillitis.

She explained that she has taken antibiotics seven times in 12 months for a range of health problems.

‘How fuqqed is tonsillitis? I’m wiped out. Let’s not even mention the fact that I’ve been on antibiotics seven times in the last 12 months,” she wrote.

‘Will my microbiome ever be okay? I would like to hear from anyone who can advise on this.’

After receiving hundreds of messages, Martha explained that her body “hasn’t been the same” since her one-year-old son Lucius was born.

“I haven’t had tonsillitis seven times in the last 12 months, but I have taken antibiotics seven times in the last 12 months for other problems,” she clarified.

‘Since my tumultuous pregnancy and then the birth and breastfeeding, I have not been the same. I feel like I just can’t get my health back.”

‘I also lead a super stressful life, always saying yes, staying up late on my laptop/phone and doing way too much, so that doesn’t help. But thanks for all your advice.’

Martha’s post comes after she recently launched her own clothing label.

The reality star, along with her two close friends, debuted LEM, a fashion brand that focuses on iconic vintage designs.

Martha released the label’s first collection online in November, featuring styles such as button-up shirts, shorts and trousers.

She said 9Entertainment she was inspired to create her label because she often buys vintage pieces.

“When we were younger, me and my best friend used to go to thrift stores and buy vintage clothes,” she said.

“What we found was that all these things we were buying – the cuts and the functionality – were so much better than the new clothes we were buying,” she continued.

‘We still use everything we’ve ever bought vintage. I have a pair of vintage jeans, and these are the best I’ve ever bought.”
