MAFS star Jessika Power comes under fire from online trolls after brother asked for donations to help fund dad’s funeral: ‘You splurge your opulence all over social media’
Jessika Power has faced criticism from her fans after her family asked for donations to help with her father’s funeral costs.
The Married At First Sight star posted an emotional message on Instagram Stories last week to announce the heartbreaking news of her father’s death.
Her brother Rhyce Power, who also briefly appeared in MAFS, subsequently posted on his own Instagram announcing that a GoFundMe page had been set up to help pay for the funeral.
Some people weren’t impressed, with several trolls leaving angry comments on Jessika’s most recent Instagram photos, which showed her partying in Cannes, France, last month.
Many pointed out that both Jessika and her brother appear to be making a decent income on the adult platform OnlyFans.
“Sorry for your loss but at what point do you and your brother think it’s okay to promote a GoFundMe when there are people who literally don’t have a home or food to eat and you two are always bragging about the money you make?” one person wrote.
“It doesn’t make sense. If it was my dad I would throw away any amount of money I had on me, especially with a bag like yours,” they added.
Someone else wrote: ‘Sorry to hear your dad passed away but WTF why are you asking the public for money when you’re pouring your wealth all over social media and your brother is doing the same on OnlyFans? Disgusting.’

Someone else wrote: ‘Everyone is going crazy that you have OR and are making good money and then you ask everyone to pay for your father’s funeral??’
Another said, “You’re an OnlyFans creator, but you still can’t pay for your dad’s funeral?”
“My condolences on the passing of your father, but I am seriously asking the public for money to pay for his funeral when you bragged about making $110,000 a month with your OnlyFans account…” another person responded.
The former reality TV bride shared the sad news of her father’s passing last week.
She posted a photo on Instagram of herself sitting on her father’s lap, holding him tight with a warm and loving smile.
“It doesn’t feel real. We love you, Dad. I hope you’re up there in a haven with your mates looking down on us and missing you forever,” she wrote.

Jessika’s brother Rhyce then wrote on his Instagram Stories: ‘Hi everyone I want to create a GoFundMe page for my dad who just passed away. A small donation towards the funeral will help.’
The GoFundMe page was set up by Michael West, her sister Eliza’s partner, and is called ‘In Memory Of Ezy Halls’.
“On behalf of Ezy’s family, we, like everyone who knew Ezy, are utterly shocked by his sudden and unexpected passing,” he wrote.
‘Unfortunately, we did not take out funeral insurance because it was so unexpected. We would really appreciate it if you could help us pay for his funeral and other associated costs.’
“We don’t expect anything at all, but even five dollars can help us take care of his affairs and funeral expenses.”

Jessika told Ny Breaking Australia that her entire family helped with the fundraiser.
“The GoFundMe is to help pay for my father’s funeral as he passed away suddenly. Although the entire family is donating to help, a funeral is expensive, especially when it’s as sudden as this,” Jessika said.
“My sister’s fiancé also created the page before I knew about it, so there must have been additional payments made to him to create the page.”
The call for donations comes after Jessika previously claimed she makes as much as $110,000 a month from OnlyFans.
Jessika, one of the most successful Australian stars on the adult platform, spoke at length about her staggering earnings during her best and worst months in an interview with the Playtime Podcast.

“The worst month is $30,000,” Jess told the shocked hosts. “But my best month is $110,000.”
Jessika previously claimed she earned more than most London businessmen on the platform.
Jessika shared a happy selfie on Instagram, writing: ‘Sitting on the train to London surrounded by men in suits, knowing full well that I make most of my money by capitalising on my reality TV fame.’
