EXCLUSIVE: MAFS bride Lucinda Light addresses rumours her accent is fake… and gets candid about her sexual connection with Timothy

Married At First Sight’s Lucinda Light has tackled rumors her accent is fake and opened up about her sexual relationship with husband Timothy Smith.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the free-spirited bride, 43, admitted trolls accused her of being a ‘fraud’ and faking her accent on the show.

Responding to the criticism, she replied: ‘I’m just myself. My mantra through it all has been to be absolutely, authentically myself.”

‘(Critics say) she’s an actress. She’s a fraud. She’s fake. She’s not the real deal and all that stuff. You know, her voice turned on.’

‘I am who I am because of my wild life experience, from theater to traveling the world, to having an entrepreneurial business, to having an amazing supportive family, to all the things, you know, that I’ve done, that for have led me to a culmination of being who I am.’

“Yeah, I probably seem like a big character, but I’m just me, you know, that’s all I can be. But I definitely enjoy everyone for them and their individual expression.”

Lucinda then discussed the issues surrounding her ‘slow burn’ sexual relationship with groom Timothy.

When asked whether the couple, who had experienced friction on air due to their lack of sex, would see their relationship evolve during Intimacy Week, Lucinda remained coy.

“I think we have another month, if not months, of orcs and dorks ahead of us, I have to be honest.”

‘There is a lot of laughter, but yes… in Tim’s words: it goes slowly.’

Light also admitted that her apparently increased sex drive made her “look like a stage 10 clinger” on air.

She then reflected on their difficulty connecting early on because Tim didn’t like physical touch, and admitted that the show’s editing had exacerbated the problem.

‘I think people are all attached to each other in a condensed way, it’s too much. Especially for a man who I don’t think was naturally attracted to me, needed time and is out of touch.

“Overall, you know, in retrospect, now that I know Tim, I wish I had given him a lot more space. But what you don’t know, you don’t know, you know?’

She sweetly described their journey as a “beautiful love story” and hinted that Tim will “definitely” let his guard down in the coming scenes.

The liberated bride, 43, famously had a chat with Timothy, 51, about anal sex in scenes aired on the show that left her new husband ‘uncomfortable’

The reality TV star, whose legal name is Lucinda Reilly, also spoke about the decision to use her stage name Lucinda Light on the show, saying it is the name she has used for a decade.

“I don’t even really think of it as a stage name, that’s the name that resonates with my soul,” she said.

‘I’m an artist, I’m an entertainer, I do shows. I am a celebrant. I’m an MC and Lucinda actually means light, so it’s just light, light.

‘It’s just a joke and a fun name that I like to go by and I think it’s kind of a representation of the fact that I like to cheer people up and spark their memory of their inner beauty.

‘Like I love to reflect the beauty of our people to them. You know, that’s one of the things I like to do. Lucinda Light is just a bit of a play on all things.

‘That’s me and I do and, and I like to support that, you know? I’ll be going by that name for a long time and I really don’t see what a crime it is to have a pseudo name.

Lucinda has addressed the chat and revealed whether she and her husband Tim were ever involved in the intimate act, insisting she wasn’t really interested in it but was just ‘stupid’

‘As humans and sovereign beings on this planet, we can do whatever we want, in a way that suits us.’

Lucinda went on to talk about her journey with Tim on the show and also teased that her husband brought some dramatic moments to the dinner parties.

She said: ‘Tim’s thing, he’s outgoing, he’s hilarious with people, he’s almost a big bull, he doesn’t take any c**p, he calls it like it is, and I think a lot of the dinner parties, on his way, it was actually his time to shine.

“I’m much less of a confrontational person, I mean, I’ve definitely had my moments, but yeah, Tim really rules.”

Lucinda (pictured with Tim) also spoke about the backlash she has experienced since the show aired, admitting she was accused of being a ‘fraud’ and faking her accent

Lucinda then mentioned some of her fellow contestants who she said “still have a lot to do,” including couple Jack and Tori (both pictured)

When asked who she still keeps in touch with on the show, Lucinda said she has a good relationship with Andrea but was critical of some of the other contestants, who she said “still have a lot of growing up to do.”

‘There is a small handful who really have a lot of growing up to do. I mean, I’m just going to mention Jack, Tori, Collins, Ben,” she shared.

“I think there’s a lot of humility and a lot of looking and a lot of self-growth that needs to happen with those guys. And I’m very happy to be able to say that out loud.

“But really, you know, I really, really enjoyed most of the cast. And I mean it.’
