MAFS fans are left cringing as Ben writes a song for wife Ellie to apologise for his ‘f**ked up’ behaviour after tense commitment ceremony fallout

Married At First Sight viewers were left cringing when Ben Walters wrote a song for his wife Ellie Dix to apologize for his ‘f**k up behaviour’.

The tour guide, 38, and the nurse, 32, have had a tense few days after Ellie shockingly wrote ‘leave’ on her board during Sunday’s commitment ceremony.

She told him how she felt he was “trying to control the narrative” and said she didn’t get any “real” experience with him as she aired her grievances.

Ben then disappeared and refused to come home during the night as the couple remained distant, before eventually reappearing to talk in Tuesday night’s drama-packed episode.

He insisted Ellie gave him the ‘wake-up call’ he needed when the couple promised to work on things, before writing his wife a song to show her how he felt.

The song, which he called Thank You Ellie, was a way for him to express his feelings, and he was seen singing the lyrics while playing guitar in his room.

The text read: ‘I wasn’t aware of my damn behavior until you pointed them out on that bench and I just wanted to thank you.’

Although he didn’t give Ellie a live performance, he showed her the lyrics while talking about how music is “excellent therapy” for him, and thanked her for giving the ultimatum during the ceremony.

He told her, “I ended up writing a song for you, and those were the lyrics. These were all just thoughts about what you said on the couch.”

Ellie was moved to tears at the ‘thoughtful’ gesture, while Ben said: ‘Not everyone gets a song named after them.’
