MAFS’ dire performance in global dating show success rankings

MAFS is one of the least successful dating shows globally when it comes to finding love with only six percent of couples still together.

New research has revealed that MAFS Australia is one of the least successful dating shows in the world, with only six per cent of couples in the franchise still together.

The last nine seasons have seen 82 couples paired. Six percent are still together and only two percent are legally married, according to research by mobile gaming company Slingo.

Slingo data ranked it the second most successful dating show with 24 percent of its 54 couples still together, and the average relationship length is four years.

The most successful dating shows hail from the US with 90 Day Fiancé at the top with 54 percent of their 46 partners still together today, and the average length of relationship after the show is six years.

Married At First Sight Australia is the 8th most successful dating show for finding love.

Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven are one of two per cent of MAFS Australia couples who were legally married after the show.

Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli are also still together, but have not yet married.

Love Island UK has also been relatively successful in finding love for its contestants, with 37 per cent of its 43 couples still together, and nine per cent of those having married.

The average duration of the couple’s relationship in the British series is three years.

Seventeen percent of Netflix’s Love Is Blind couples are still together, while that show’s average relationship length is three years.
