Married At First Sight: Debate rages over which is the best season of the controversial Channel Nine show ahead of the latest series – so which one is your favourite?
With the highly anticipated eleventh season of Married At First Sight just days away, fans have started a heated debate about the popular series.
With nine years on the air, the Channel Nine experiment has become one of the biggest Australian reality TV shows in history.
This week, Reddit users have been fighting over which one is the best of them all.
“Oh, I loved six, the best one yet. I think season 8 is good but not on par with season 6. It’s still entertaining and worth watching,” one person wrote.
Others agreed, with one saying they enjoyed that year because it featured Ines Basic.

In 2019, Ines, 33, made headlines as the villain of season six after becoming embroiled in an affair with fellow contestant Sam Ball.
The 30-year-old gym junkie was originally linked to fan favorite Elizabeth Sobinoff, while Ines married former stripper Bronson Norrish in the experiment.
Meanwhile, some shunned the popular season six, saying they preferred seasons “8 or 7.”

Season seven saw another scandal when Stacey Hampton was accused of cheating on her partner Michael Goonan with co-star Mikey Pembroke.
And season eight wasn’t without its share of bad matchups either, with Coco Stedman and Cameron Dunne forming a secret bond over their failed pairings.
Some outliers named season nine the best, with one person saying, “I liked 9…I’m going to 8 next,” while another said, “9 was good.”

Season nine was full of some of the biggest controversies in MAFS history, with a groom being dumped from the show shortly after filming began when homophobic and misogynistic videos of him surfaced on social media.
Meanwhile, bride Olivia Frazer found herself in hot water after she shared a nude photo of fellow bride Domenica Calarco without Domenica’s knowledge or consent.
MAFS season 11 will feature some of the show’s most popular cast members ever when it launches later this month.
The latest series airs on January 29 on Channel Nine and 9Now.
