Wedding bells are already ringing for Married At First Sight lovebirds Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis.
The couple, who went public with their long-rumored romance on Wednesday, revealed during an interview on Additional today on Friday they are already thinking about getting married for real.
When asked by presenter David Campbell if he would consider a real televised marriage to Evelyn – after they were both matched with other people last season – Duncan said he would be ready.
“Yeah, I’m excited,” said the cybersecurity salesperson, 36, with a smile, while model and marketing manager Evelyn, 27, kept her lips tight.
Duncan even suggested that MAFS relationship expert John Aiken could help arrange the formal reconnection.
Wedding bells are already ringing for MAFS lovebirds Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis. The couple, who went public on their long-rumoured romance on Wednesday, revealed during an interview on Friday’s Today Extra that they’re already thinking about actually tying the knot
The pair have been quietly dating for several months, with the first signs of their love affair appearing at Sydney Mardi Gras in late February, but they didn’t go public until Wednesday when they sat down for a tell-all interview with 9Now.
Duncan and Evelyn both claim nothing happened between them while filming MAFS last year when they teamed up with Alyssa Barmonde and Rupert Bugden respectively.
But it was nevertheless clear to viewers that sparks flew when they were paired briefly during the ‘Trade Swap’ task.
When asked by presenter David Campbell if he would consider a real televised marriage to Evelyn – after they were both matched up with other people in the final season – Duncan, 36, said he would be up for it, but Evelyn, 27, kept her mouth tightly sealed

When asked how their relationship came about, Duncan said, “So [at] With Mardi Gras, we hung out together. A few weeks later, after forming a good friendship, there were a few kisses, and it took off from there.”
Evelyn added, “Well, I think everyone saw it coming before we saw it.
“Like any good relationship, we started hanging out as friends and got to know each other on a deeper level and then I started to get the feeling and I was like, ‘Oh, crap.'”
While Duncan admitted that he found Evelyn “extremely attractive” when she entered the MAFS experiment as an intruder bride, he was so emotionally invested in his relationship with Alyssa that he never thought of her in a romantic way.
Evelyn agreed, “I thought he was really hot, of course, but I need to get to know someone better before I get romantic feelings.
“And as I got to know him better, I thought, ‘So… he’s hot and he’s a good person.'”

The pair said their castmates have been extremely supportive of their relationship, including Evelyn’s on-screen “husband” Rupert.
But Duncan admitted he didn’t know how his “wife” Alyssa felt about the situation, saying they “have not spoken much” since filming wrapped.
However, Alyssa broke her silence on Thursday — a day after the couple announced their relationship news.
Responding to a comment on TikTok asking what she thought about Duncan dating Evelyn, the single mom simply replied, “RIP.”
