MAFS AU: Jesse Burford slams producers and claims show’s reunion was ‘edited’

Married At First Sight star Jesse Burford criticized the producers for their editing during the reunion dinner on Sunday.

The Perth celebrant, 30, took aim at Reddit, following his confusing comments about his ex “wife” after the couple reunited.

“Almost everything I said about Claire that night has been cleverly edited to make it seem like there’s still a chance for us,” he wrote.

He admitted that the producers “stitched up” his sentences saying that the tone of his voice changed due to the editing trick.

“Claire and I absolutely did NOT talk every day,” he said.

“In fact, I spent the entire trip to the meeting talking about how I wasn’t too interested in seeing Claire or Adam and wanted to be alone that night,” he continued.

He went on to say that the couple were being brought up for the cameras and only spoke twice in the evening.

He ended by saying that he didn’t have a best friend during the experiment and nobody understood him.

“At the end of the day, my honesty/integrity is not what should be in question, because I’m always going to tell you the truth, set the record straight, and set the record straight,” he said.

It comes just one day after Jesse revealed his heartbreak on his Nine audition tape for the show.

The 30-year-old marriage celebrant from Perth was candid during the video, saying the breakup was “probably the worst” he’s ever been through.

“We were so in love with each other that we jumped right in,” he said in the clip shared by Nine.

The reality star said the relationship lasted two years and was unhealthy from the start.

Jesse was paired with his wife Claire Nomarhas in the current season. Although it didn’t work out for the couple, the long-haired music lover said he gave it his all.

The couple had a difficult relationship during the experiment.

It comes after Jesse went rogue in an interview with Daily Mail Australia just hours before the reunion episode on Sunday.

Jesse made a series of explosive revelations, including the shocking insult his wife used on him on their honeymoon.

He also shared for the first time how his partner Adam Groom felt so bad about kissing Claire behind her back that he bought her an “apology gift” to make it up to him.

Jesse admitted he was “shocked” to see how his tumultuous relationship with Claire played out on screen, with the kindergarten assistant portrayed as an angel despite her “crazy” and two-faced behavior behind the scenes.
