MAFS AU: Dan Hunjas ‘edited out’ of boys’ night after going rogue

EXCLUSIVE: Married At First Sight’s Dan Hunjas ‘edited’ from guys’ night out after going rogue and ruining show finale

Channel Nine was forced to make last-minute edits to Married At First Sight after a boyfriend went rogue and broke his contract earlier this year.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that producers moved quickly to remove Dan Hunjas, 42, from Tuesday night’s episode, which saw previous boyfriends and girlfriends return to the show.

According to a network source, Hunjas’s scenes were heavily cut to “make it look like he wasn’t there” in the hope that he would be “forgotten completely”.

The spy claims that Dan was a big part of boys’ night out and got into a heated fight with Rupert Bugden over the back dial saga, but it was all left on the cutting room floor.

‘Channel Nine and Endemol Shine Australia are still super pissed off at Dan because he ruined their story with [wife] Sandy Jawanda,” the source said.

They added: “It completely ruined the surprise for everyone.”

“The whole point of the show is suspense and drama, and he just went and screwed it all up.”

In February it was reported that Hunjas received legal documents after he botched a major storyline on the show by going public with his relationship with his then-girlfriend, Samantha Symes.

According to a production source, Dan’s actions were seen as a threat to the show’s ratings, and Channel Nine took swift action to make an example of him.

“Channel Nine have a reputation to uphold, and they’re not going to let anyone ruin the show, they can’t repeat season seven,” a source said.

Dan has gone too far and now he is facing the consequences.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
