MAFS 2025: New intruder groom’s identity is revealed as newly-single pro golfer as he looks set to bring the drama – amid show chaos after three couples quit

The identity of yet another groom intruder has been revealed: a professional golfer is reportedly planning to bring drama to the upcoming season of Married At First Sight.

Ny Breaking Australia can reveal that recently single sportsman Clint Rice is set to shake up the 2025 series when he ties the knot as a provocative groom.

Clint hails from Launceston, Tasmania, but recently ended his long-term relationship, paving the way for his appearance on the popular reality show.

Friends of the golfer describe him as ‘super relaxed and down to earth’, someone known for his eloquent nature and always up for a fun evening.

His easy-going nature, combined with a penchant for mischief, will undoubtedly provide some unexpected twists in the 2025 series, which is already in full production.

Along with newcomers Clint and Lauren, couple Teejay Halkias and Bethy Kelly are also adding some extra excitement. They tied the knot on Tuesday.

Amid chaos at the casting call, with three couples dropping out, Ny Breaking Australia revealed that the new batch of intruders were brought in under one strict condition: they must only cause drama.

An insider revealed that they were all carefully chosen for their potential to cause a stir among the existing couples, after six candidates abruptly dropped out.

“They were told from the beginning that they had to create tension and keep the drama going,” they said.

Last season, two of the three intruder couples didn’t last. They continued working on the experiment for a few days before sensationally quitting.

‘The producers have made it clear that they do not want a repeat of the situation between Ash (Galati) and Maddy (Maxwell), where they ended their relationship after just three days.’

Determined to prevent history from repeating itself, the series’ creators are doing their utmost this time around.

Season 12, currently filming in Sydney, has already lost six contestants in the first two weeks of filming, with the intruders warned to just sit it out.

“Even if the two don’t hit it off, they’ve been asked to see it through to the end of filming,” the insider added.

“The producers want to keep the drama alive at all costs.”

The harsh conditions reportedly led to fierce and violent clashes, with the intruders determined to strike.

The first commitment ceremony led to a shocking mass exodus, with three couples calling it quits within the first two weeks of filming, in an “unprecedented” turn of events.

“We’re already down six people, and that’s only been two weeks,” an insider said.

‘The pressure on the remaining cast is enormous and that creates a lot of tension.’

Cast members are reportedly divided over the strikes, with some relieved at the departure of those they consider “toxic,” while others are furious.
