MAFS baby scandal: Shannon Adams is expecting a second child with the ‘ex’ he texted while filming – as she reveals they’ve already broken up
Married At First Sight star Shannon Adams is reportedly expecting his second child with his ex-partner Jamea Drake.
Shannon, who was in contact with Jamea last year while filming the show, dropped out of production when he learned of her pregnancy, according to So dramatic.
“Shannon left the show not only because he was still in love with his ex, but also because he found out she was pregnant with his child,” a source told the outlet.
“That’s why he left…because Jamea called and told him she was pregnant.”
Jamea shared a photo on Instagram on Thursday showing off her baby bump and declaring she was “four months pregnant.”

But she refuted So Dramatic’s “timeline” of her pregnancy – namely that she learned she was pregnant while filming MAFS – and also revealed that she and Shannon were no longer together.
‘Four months pregnant, nothing to complain about. Timeline doesn’t match MAFS at all…so please don’t believe the lies some articles say,” she wrote.
She added, “PS we’re not together so please [questions] regarding [Shannon], just message him, not me. I want nothing to do with it.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Jamea for comment and clarification.

Both Shannon and Jamea have told Daily Mail Australia that they never met in Sydney while filming MAFS, despite reports to the contrary.
In scenes that aired on the Channel Nine show, Shannon was caught calling his ex-girlfriend shortly after moving in with his TV wife Caitlin McConville.
Caitlin, 27, saw Shannon, 30, take a sneaky phone call at their apartment only to find out he was talking to his former flame.
“Shannon left the show not only because he was still in love with his ex, but also because he found out she was pregnant with his child,” a source told So Dramatic. “That’s why he left… because Jamea called him and told him she was pregnant”
“I’m coming from a toxic relationship of seven years, off and on. A breakup we had was 12 months ago,” he explained at the time.
“I hate saying this, but I still love her,” he added.
“I have so much respect for you, but I can’t lie, you are an absolute saint… I just feel like I’m leading two people.”
Viewers were shocked at a commitment ceremony when Shannon revealed he had slept with his ex just a week before embarking on the experiment.

‘I’m not going to hide anything. I think I’m still in love with my ex,” he told the baffled relationship experts.
Mel Schilling pressed him for more details, asking him, “You were intimate with your ex a week before you got into the experiment?”
Shannon confirmed this, saying he felt “guilty” about wasting everyone’s time.
Caitlin has since moved on with osteopathy student Kobe Barton.
