The new season of Married At First Sight has been full of drama, but the biggest scandal took place after filming wrapped in December.

Sources tell Daily Mail Australia that an unlikely boyfriend was recently involved in a secret date with another man’s ‘wife’.

Sydney-based publicity director Josh White, who is ‘married’ to sex-obsessed hairdresser Melissa Sheppard on Channel Nine, flew to Perth for a romantic weekend with accountant Lyndall Grace from 26-29 from January.

This will surprise viewers because Lyndall, who has cystic fibrosis, is paired in the experiment with Northern Territory carpenter Cam Woods, and their wholesome romance has won hearts across Australia.

Things didn’t work out between Lyndall and Cam on the show and they broke up before the end. Similarly, Josh and Melissa broke up halfway through filming.

“Josh and Lyndall were secretly dating for weeks,” said a cast member.

They added that the couple first kissed on December 17 when several MAFS participants went out for a night at the Ivy Pool in Sydney, a day after filming the meeting.

“Things started when he told her that he really liked her and wanted to kiss her, and she was like, ‘Okay, go on then,'” the source added.

‘After [the kiss]they spent hours talking on the phone every night and that’s how they really got to know each other,” they said.

Lyndall has made no effort to hide their romance and came out to other co-stars during a MAFS meetup in Perth on New Year’s Eve.

Photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia show Josh looking very smitten as he poses for some happy snaps in Perth (pictured), which were shared on his now-deleted Instagram account.

The matter, which had been kept under wraps for weeks, was recently exposed to the entire cast in WhatsApp group chats for the bride and groom.

Meanwhile, photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia show Josh looking happy and very much in love during a recent trip to Perth, where he visited Lyndall and stayed at her home.

“When her sun shines on you, you feel it,” she captioned a selfie shared on her now-deleted Instagram account.

Josh and Lyndall kept their date a secret from Channel Nine and production company Endemol Shine Australia. It is understood that several cast members were not supportive of their relationship, which has since ended.

‘To much [the MAFS] The cast was surprised that their connection became so serious so quickly,” said one girlfriend, adding that the affair has “left a sour taste” in some people’s mouths.

Josh’s ex-‘wife’ Melissa was apparently ‘last to know, and boy was she not happy,’ the source added.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Lyndall, Josh and Channel Nine for comment.
