Madonna goes make-up free in baggy sweats at JFK Airport to fly to England 10 days ahead of her Celebration Tour

Madonna arrived at New York’s JFK Airport on Tuesday, with a bodyguard in tow, to catch a flight to England, just ten days before she was set to kick off her 78-day Celebration Tour with a sold-out concert at London’s O2 Arena.

The 65-year-old Queen of Pop protected her makeup-free complexion under a $585 Balenciaga ‘Fennec Oval Sunglasses’ and a $2,041 Vetements limited edition ‘Hooded Bomber Jacket’.

Michigan native Madge – who rocked a lanyard for her iPhone – hid her 6-foot-2 figure under a baggy orange hoodie, black wide-leg sweatpants and matching sneakers for the seven-hour flight.

The seven-time Grammy winner – who gets 39 million monthly listeners on Spotify – held her US passport in her hand as she waited patiently with her entourage in the security line.

Madonna – who was hospitalized June 24 due to ‘a serious bacterial infection’ – has rented out the entire AO Arena in Manchester for ‘intense, last-minute technical and dress rehearsals’ ahead of the tour, according to The sun.

Joining the twice-divorced mother of six at JFK was her 17-year-old daughter Chifundo “Mercy” James Ciccone, who was dressed in a cozy black sweatshirt and Crocs.

Madonna was also accompanied by her 18-year-old son David Banda Mwale Ciccone, but there was no sign of her daughter Lourdes, 26; son Rocco, 23; nor her twins Estere and Stella, 11.

On Monday, the self-made superstar – who has 32.8 million followers on social media – asked for song requests for the Celebration Tour: ‘Which songs do you want to hear?’

Madonna reportedly worked with creative director Lewis James and musical director Stuart Price to devise her most spectacular stage presence for her twelfth concert tour celebrating her four-decade career.

Instead of a band or singer, the Material Girl enlisted RuPaul’s Drag Race #8 champion Bob the Drag Queen to fill her opening act.

We hope things go better this time, as Madonna’s knee and hip injuries forced her to cancel 14 shows of her previous 75-date The Madame X Tour in 2019-2020.

When the coronavirus pandemic put the final nail in the coffin of her tour, the two-time Golden Globe winner underwent knee surgery in April 2020, followed by hip surgery in November 2020, as well as “regenerative treatment for my missing cartilage.”

Madonna plans to eventually begin work on her self-directed biopic from Universal Pictures, titled Little Sparrow, starring three-time Emmy winner Julia Garner.

The Vulgar singer co-wrote the script with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, who was later replaced by Independent Spirit Award-winning screenwriter Erin Wilson (The Girl on the Train, Secretary).

Worryingly, Madonna has previously piloted two dismally reviewed box office bombs: Filth and wisdom in 2008 and WE in 2011.
