Madonna fans go wild over 45 song Celebration setlist as the Queen of Pop prepares to kickstart 78-date tour in London after rescheduling shows

The premiere of Madonna’s Celebration tour is expected.

The singer, 65, will take to the stage at The 02 on Saturday after having to postpone her tour due to a terrifying health scare.

Madonna had to postpone her 78-date tour by three months after a bacterial infection sent her to intensive care.

And fans have been going wild trying to predict what the setlist for her Greatest Hits tour will be after Madonna’s music director teased that there will be around 45 songs in the two-hour show.

In a sneak peek of what’s on the tour for fans, Stuart Price said the show will draw on four decades of her back catalogue.

The production will use archival footage and studio footage to tell the star’s story in what will be a ‘documentary’ about her iconic career.

“The biggest hit doesn’t have to be a song. It could be a wardrobe, it could be a video or a statement,” he told the BBC. “The person who’s going to go on stage looks amazing, sounds amazing, performs amazing.”

Of how they shortlisted a set list from Madonna’s vast catalog of hits, he said: “It was a big challenge. In two hours, can you get it all in? It’s difficult. But every great moment she had, we used it.’

The music director said Madonna will perform around 25 of her songs in full, while 20 other songs will be mixed into the two-hour show as ‘bridges’ between the acts.

It will be a tough choice as Madonna first hit the UK charts with Holiday in 1984 and has gone on to have 13 number ones and 71 hits.

Another fan shared a list of predictions and wrote: ‘Setlist Predictions Picked songs we know and some long forgotten gems.’

Her first show is at London’s 02 Arena on Saturday, but due to Blink 182’s tour taking place at the same venue, Madonna won’t have access until Friday, when she would normally rehearse at the arena the week before.

Madonna is making sure she’s ready for the weekend after illness forced her to cancel the North American leg of her tour in June.

On Monday nine Peloton cycling bikes were seen being delivered to the posh stock market hotel where she was staying – costing a whopping £1,500 each.

A five-star hotel in Manchester is owned by ex-footballer Gary Neville, and the Papa Don’t Preach hitmaker is believed to have rented out the entire building for himself and his entourage.

Other famous guests include Dua Lipa, Mick Jagger, Pink and Shania Twain.

The source said Sun: “Madonna pulls out all the stops — a huge entourage, entire hotels, major rehearsal spaces for several days — nothing is left to chance.

Madonna is preparing to embark on her first tour in three years after a health scare this summer that left her in hospital.

The tour will kick off on October 14 in London – and the star will play three more dates on October 15, 17 and 18 at Arena 02.

Earlier last month, People claims the mother-of-six was very excited to hit the road to perform her new songs.

“She went back to rehearsals last Monday.” She’s so happy to be back on stage and feeling strong,” the source said.

“She is working closely with her longtime collaborators, Jamie King and Stuart Price, to put the finishing touches on the show,” says a source, adding that the series of shows is “the icon’s most ambitious tour ever.”
