Madonna’s closest friends are concerned that the pop icon has once again fallen in love with a younger man who they believe is “not in it for love” but is only fueling her need to be “adored.”
The 66-year-old pop star first showed off her new lover, 28-year-old Akeem Morris, on July 4, just months after splitting from ex-boyfriend Josh Popper, who was 36 years her junior.
The new couple, who have a 38-year age gap, were photographed this weekend with Madonna performing a series of steamy climaxes celebrated her birthday in Italy with loved ones.
Insiders have told DailyMail.com that her latest romance has raised concerns about Jamaica-born Akeem’s intentions, after the footballer’s ex previously accused him of cheating on her with Madonna.
“Her friends thought she was done with dating younger men, but that’s clearly not the case and no one trusts Akeem,” the source began. “They want Madonna to be happy, but she needs to know that these guys, who are less than half her age, aren’t in it for love.”

Although the relationship is new, it has since been revealed that Akeem seen in a photoshoot for Paper Magazine with the Material Girl singer in 2022.
However, it’s unclear how close the two were before Madonna’s most recent relationship with Josh Popper, 30, “fell on the rocks.”
It is now common knowledge that Akeem seemed to still be in a romantic relationship with his girlfriend Reagan Rice when he started a new romance with Madonna.
The insider explained how the sudden end of Akeem’s relationship left Madonna’s friends even more concerned about his intentions toward the Vogue hitmaker.
“The fact that he was dating Reagan Rice when he got together with Madonna says a lot,” the source noted. “Reagan found out about him on social media. Her friends fear that if he did this to Reagan, he could do this to any woman.”
Madonna first shared photos of herself snuggling up to Akeem on July 4 as they celebrated the holiday together in New York City.
She later posted a photo of herself in bed with Akeem as part of a photo dump on her social media, captioning it: ‘Hot Fun In The Summer Time.’

At the time, Akeem’s ex-girlfriend posted videos on her TikTok page about his blossoming romance with Madonna.

Despite this, Madonna is still enjoying her romance, although her friends are already predicting that the star will likely simply move on to a younger man if the relationship with Akeem ultimately sours.
“Madonna seems to have invested in him, but it’s only a matter of time before they’re done and she’s already moving on to the next one,” the insider said.
“She has a revolving door of younger men and no matter how many candles are on her birthday cake, her men remain the same age.”
The source explained that Madonna’s close friends are fed up with their warnings being ignored.

Akeem was born on May 2, 1996 in Jamaica, but now lives in New York City.
From 2014 to 2018, he attended Stony Brook University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.
