Madonna, 65, says she’s currently unwell again just SEVEN days into her 78-date world tour – as she gets emotional on stage and says it’s a ‘miracle’ she survived her bacterial infection

Madonna has revealed she is currently feeling unwell again, just seven days into her 78-date world tour, after a bacterial infection forced her to reschedule her concert series.

During her concert on Saturday in Antwerp, Belgium, the 65-year-old Queen of Pop became emotional as she talked about the health problems that landed her in the hospital and left her unconscious.

The health emergency led her to reflect on her mother, Madonna Louise Ciccone, who died of breast cancer at age 33.

“I had a strange thought,” she said in a clip tweeted by a fan who attended her Celebration Tour on Saturday. “I suddenly felt sympathy and empathy for my mother,” she said, placing her hand on her chest and exhaling deeply.

‘About how lonely she must have felt in the hospital, knowing that she would no longer live. And I got another chance.’

Her voice cracked with emotion as she added, “So I’m very grateful for that.”

‘I have to tell you, I’m not feeling very well right now. But I can’t complain because I’m alive,” she added. “Thank God for my children and all of you, and all your love and support. I really appreciate it.’

She also said it was a “bloody miracle” that she survived the ordeal.

“Less than four months ago I was in a hospital and I was unconscious and people thought – predicted – that I might not make it,” she told the audience in another clip posted by the fan.

‘It’s a damn miracle I’m here now. My mother, God bless her, she has to watch over me. She said, “Girl, it’s not your time to go yet.”

Madonna was forced to reschedule her shows after she was rushed to intensive care and intubated when she was found slumped on the floor of her New York City apartment in June.

Her family, who rushed to her bedside, are said to have “prepared for the worst” and “feared we would lose her.”

She kicked off her Celebration tour at London’s O2 Arena earlier this month.

She broke her silence on the life-threatening health ordeal during her opening show and shocked fans when she admitted she had forgotten ‘five days’ of her life.

She stood alone on stage holding her guitar and said, “I didn’t think I was going to make it, and neither did my doctors.”

“That’s why I woke up with all my kids around me.”

She continued her emotional confession: “I forgot five days of my life, or my death, I don’t really know where I was. But the angels protected me. And my children were there. And my kids always save me, every time.

“If you want to know how I got through it and how I survived, I thought, I have to be there for my children. I have to survive for them.”

Madonna’s highly anticipated tour will continue in the coming months and into 2024.

She will continue to tour the UK and Europe until December, with several dates already sold out.

The North American leg of her tour kicks off in December, kicking off in Brooklyn. Her April 2024 shows in Mexico City are already sold out.
