Made in Chelsea’s Maeva D’Ascanio responds to backlash over holiday without her son

Made in Chelsea’s Maeva D’Ascanio has urged people not to share their negative comments in the midst of traveling abroad without their baby.

The 30-year-old reality star welcomed her first child with future husband James Taylor, 27, in November last year, and the couple are currently enjoying a ski trip abroad.

It’s unclear where the new parents went, but Maeva has been keeping fans updated along the way.

Maeva has confirmed that three-month-old Beau is not with her and James and is instead staying with her grandmother while they are away.

She shared a sweet photo with Beau and wrote: “I miss you my little angel, can’t wait to have you back soon.”

Maeva then shared on her Instagram Stories: ‘For the people asking me: No, Beau is not with us. He is with his grandmother. He will be coming with us very soon for his first vacation.

He ended the post by adding: “(bad comments, you can keep them to yourself).”

She then shared a snap of the baby and wrote: ‘My pudding to your grandma I miss you!’

In December, Maeva and her partner James Taylor took Beau to the hospital in the midst of a respiratory scare, but quickly assured fans that he was fine.

Maeva said Beau was creating mucus after he was delivered by C-section, so his breathing sounded weird.

The couple welcomed Beau in November.

They announced the happy news with a sweet Instagram video as the new mom cradled the precious newborn in her arms.

They also shared snaps from the hospital, as well as the moment James first met his son, with Maeva saying he would be the “best dad ever.”

Earlier this month, she hit back at an ‘idiot’ troll after she was criticized for isolating herself from her newborn son when he came down with covid.

The Made In Chelsea star has tested positive for the virus and has sent her five-week-old son to stay with her mother-in-law until he recovers.

One troll commented: ‘Your baby should never have been away from you, so newborn and disgusting that he hasn’t come back! You clearly fine. [sic]’

Maeva then replied, ‘What the hell do you know about my life if I’m fine or not you idiot! You are right, it would have been better to have my baby close to me sick with covid and coughing in the face !!!’

NHS guidelines advise parents with coronavirus to avoid coughing or sneezing on their baby, following strict sterilization guidelines and allowing them their own separate sleeping space.

However, the guidelines also state that it is okay to maintain skin-to-skin contact and continue to breastfeed because the benefits and protection it offers babies outweigh any potential risk of transmission.

WHAT ARE THE MEDICAL REASONS FOR A CESAREAN SECTION?

-A cesarean section is an operation to deliver your baby through an incision in the stomach and womb.

There are several reasons why a doctor may recommend that you have a C-section rather than deliver vaginally.

If you had complications in a previous pregnancy or delivery, or in your current pregnancy, you may be recommended to have what is called an elective or elective C-section, or a planned repeat C-section.

If you planned to give birth vaginally, but complications during labor or delivery cause you to be recommended to deliver by C-section, you will have what is called an unplanned or emergency C-section.

Here are some reasons doctors may opt for a planned or emergency C-section, rather than a vaginal delivery:

You have already had at least one C-section;

Your baby is tummy or breech;

Your baby is in a lateral (transverse) position, or keeps changing position (unstable lying);

You have a low placenta (placenta previa);

Have a medical condition, such as heart disease or diabetes;

You have lost a baby in the past, either before or during labor;

You are expecting twins or more;

Your baby is not growing as well as it should be in your womb;

You have severe preeclampsia or eclampsia, so delaying delivery is dangerous.
