A teenager fights for his life after being stabbed in the chest during a wild brawl.

Emergency services rushed to a park on Herring Road in Macquarie Park in northwestern Sydney on Sunday after reports of a violent fight at around 5.30pm.

When officers arrived, a 14-year-old boy was found at nearby Macquarie University railway station with stab wounds.

“He was taken to (Westmead Children’s) hospital in critical condition,” a police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

“After an investigation, four teenage boys were arrested a short time later at Cherrybrook train station.”

The boys were all taken to Ryde Police Station in the north of the town to help with the investigation.

Ryde Area Command Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Train passengers were told around 6pm that services were not stopping at Cherrybrook and Macquarie University stations due to an ‘ongoing police operation’.

But Cherrybrook station reopened about an hour later, just before 7pm.

Macquarie University is still closed. Passengers wishing to travel to or from that location are encouraged to take a local bus service,” said Transport for NSW.
