Machine Gun Kelly left fans cringing after storming away from Sky Sports’ Martin Brundle during an excruciatingly awkward interview at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The 33-year-old American rapper, also known as Colson Baker, was stopped for a gridwalk interview by the driver-turned-announcer before Sunday’s race.
The unlikely duo had a two-minute conversation full of awkward pauses, which led to MGK eventually storming away from an embarrassed Brundle, 64.
The pair were not enamored from the start, but the situation became even worse after MGK initiated a live ‘air guitar and piano’ session with the straight-laced broadcaster.
The cringe-worthy clip led to fans labeling the moment as the “most awkward interview ever.”

The conversation initially seemed to flow smoothly, as the musician said he was “honored” to attend the race, which was ultimately won by Max Verstappen.
The first signs of clumsiness came when he reached out to play with the broadcaster’s pin, with Brundle explaining: “…That’s a poppy.”
They soon hit another hurdle when Brundle asked, “What’s going on with your career right now?”
Machine Gun Kelly responded uselessly with, “My career… I don’t think about my career. I don’t think about it,” effectively ending the line of conversation.
Brundle was clearly taken aback and replied, “Good luck with it, whatever you do.”
After picking up the pace with some talk about F1 and music, the worst was yet to come after MGK initiated a live ‘air guitar and piano’ session with the former driver.
He said, ‘Can you give me your best air guitar?’
But his interviewer was clearly embarrassed and said, ‘No, there are millions of people watching. You do it!

‘Um, no, I can’t. I learned piano once and middle C, and that was about it.”
However, Kelly was determined not to give up. He continued, “Give me your best air piano!”
“Let’s do an air guitar and air piano collaboration, no! Come on! 3, 2, 1… I need keys. I need keys!’
But a nervous and panicked Brundle apologized: ‘I can’t do it! I should probably move on because there are some people I need to talk to.”
Left enraged by his lack of participation, MGK gave him a thumbs down and stormed off shaking his head.
Martin hurried in the other direction and said to the camera, “Something tells me I won’t be on his Christmas card list this year.”
After watching the excruciating clip, fans didn’t hold back when they took to social media.
One called it: ‘THE MOST awkwaaarrd interview EVEEEEERRRRR’, while another said: ‘Classic cringe’.
A third said: ‘That was quite awkward! I don’t think it was Martin either!’
This isn’t the first time poor Brundle has been left in a sticky situation by an A-list celebrity.
In July, Cara Delevingne blasted him when he approached her with a Sky Sports F1 microphone.
Awkward again: It comes after an equally awkward moment with Cara Delevingne in July
In the clip, as the Red Arrows roar overhead, Brundle spots Delevingne nearby but is quickly told by an apparent security guard that “she doesn’t want to talk.”
The racer-turned-announcer is clearly still keen to get his talk and says, ‘That’s the deal now, everyone talks on the grid.
As he moves closer to try to make the interview happen, Delevingne’s face turns into a grimace, but he roars on and says: ‘Can we just have a quick chat at Sky F1? Nice to see you on the grid.’
The supermodel, wearing a black pantsuit with a matching bra underneath and a black baseball cap, curtly says “no” and shakes her head before repeating “no.”
Clearly frustrated, Brundle tells her, “The deal is that everyone on the grid has to speak…”
She answers without making eye contact and looking away: “I can’t hear anything, sorry.”
Unimpressed, Brundle responds with more than a hint of sarcasm, telling viewers, “Okay, I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting,” before the model gave a thumbs up to the camera.
Many of the people who watched the clip were outraged by her response to Brundle, although some said she had the right to say no to an on-camera interview.
