- Maccas has fallen nationally
- Major IT outage is to blame
McDonald’s restaurants across the country are unable to serve customers after being hit by an IT outage.
The systems have been offline since approximately 3:10 PM and it is unknown what caused the problem and how long it will take for the computers to come back online.
A McDonald’s manager told Daily Mail Australia that 90 minutes after the first outage, the restaurant’s head office had not told anyone what was happening.
“We’re in the dark,” he said.

Reports are pouring in from customers around the world that Australia is not the only country affected by the outage.
Hungry customers from New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada have all claimed their nearest stores are also experiencing outages.
Some locations are now accepting cash payments while they wait for the cash registers to come back online.
Customers cannot order food via the MyMaccas app for the time being.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted McDonald’s for comment.
More to come.
