Macaulay Culkin dresses as NFL quarterback in hilarious Halloween tribute

Famous actor Macaulay Culkin dressed up as Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow for Halloween and paid tribute to the star quarterback.

Culkin, best known for his roles as a child actor, including in the series “Home Alone,” appears to have no ties to the Cincinnati area and has not expressed his NFL fandom.

Still, the resemblance between the 44-year-old and someone 17 years his junior was uncanny, with Burrow commenting on Culkin’s Instagram post of his costume.

“Touche alleged doppelgänger,” Burrow posted with the photo of Culkin in his Bengals jersey.

Burrow gave his thoughts on Halloween later Thursday.

‘I don’t like celebrating something just for the sake of celebrating it. What exactly are we celebrating? Just to dress up for the sake of dressing up? I’m not a big dress-up guy.’

Burrow is clearly focused on keeping the Bengals’ playoff hopes intact at 3-5. Cincinnati plays the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in a promising opportunity to get back into the win column.

The sports world came out in a big way to celebrate Halloween, including the Charlotte Hornets posting a video to their social media accounts of a clown trying to scare their players and coaches.

By far the most successful scare happened to LaMelo Ball, who entered the video singing down the hallway and did not see the clown, who was standing out of sight behind a door.

As soon as Ball entered the room where the clown was near a staircase, he let out a loud, high-pitched scream and jumped back.

Ball calmed himself down and delivered a powerful open-handed blow to the clown’s head. There was no one in the costume, evidenced by the fact that the impact caused the clown’s head to hit a nearby wall and bounce back.

Ball took two steps before punching the back of the clown’s head, decapitating the robot and sending its headless specimen to the ground, to the laughter of many around him.

Later in the day, a number of New York Jets players also arrived for their Thursday Night Football game against the Houston Texans, dressed in costumes.

Among the different costumes, safety Tony Adams arrived in the game dressed as comedian Katt Williams, while fellow defensemen Ashtyn Davis and Chazz Surratt dressed as Mario and Luigi from Super Mario Bros.

Punter Thomas Morstead arrived wearing a San Francisco 49ers jersey with the name of his head coach, Jeff Ulbrich, on the back.

But perhaps best of all was linebacker Quincy Williams – who arrived as Joaquin Phoenix’s version of The Joker – including face paint.
