More than three decades after playing Kevin McAllister in the 1990 classic Home Alone, Macaulay Culkin channels that character in a new Uber Eats ad.
The 44-year-old actor was just 10 years old when Home Alone hit theaters and followed his adventures when he was left behind after a Christmas trip and forced to defend his home from two thieves (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern).
Now Culkin returns to that beloved character again with the new ad, debuting Uber eats YouTube on Thursday.
The ad opens with Culkin — wearing a white cable-knit sweater, jeans and brown slippers — sitting by a fireplace as a narrator says, “Macaulay Culkin sits by a warm, crackling fire, contemplating his thoughts.”
A title card reads, “Introducing Carolers Only to Uber Eats, as he says, “I remember the last time I had the house to myself over the holidays,” referring to Home Alone.
The narrator adds, “Ah, memories. He enjoys the peaceful bliss and then an urge awakens,” saying, “You know what? I’m hungry.’

He picks up his phone and opens the Uber Eats app, when he makes a surprising discovery: “Uber Eats delivers Christmas carols to my door?”
He presses a button on the app and says: ‘Sing for me’, when a little later the doorbell rings.
He opens the door to see two men and a woman singing Jingle Bells as the woman hands him an Uber Eats bag containing his food.
He enjoys listening to their beloved Christmas song as the ad reveals that Uber Eats users will be able to order Christmas carols themselves on December 7.
The carolers leave and Macaulay says, “What do you know, they were quite tasty,” before heading back to his house with the food as the advert ends.
A press release from Uber Eats reveals that the company is partnering with Diageo, where “a group of talented carolers will arrive at your home, office or over the holidays to bring you cheer and the best festive drinks.”
This new option will only be available in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami and Washington, DC starting Saturday, December 7.
Uber Eats users in these cities can visit the Carolers store and request the experience, which also comes with alcoholic drinks.

Other festive holiday offerings include the Holiday Hub, which is billed as a “one-stop shop for all your holiday needs, including hosting, guest and gift essentials.”
The gifts can be delivered in minutes and come with a Christmas message, while Culkin’s own gift choices will appear later in the app.
The Holiday Hub is available on the Uber Eats app from now until Christmas Day, with other offers including Christmas tree delivery.
There will also be an expansion of the Uber Car Seat program, available in New York City, Los Angeles, Orlando, DC, Atlanta, Miami and San Francisco.
